i like the one on the left better.
He is friendlier i guess, and since its not that realistic, i can beleive he actually rides a pogostick:)

my version of the hans christian anderson fairy tales had awesome pictures...
Then again, dad used to get me the copies of fairy tales that had heaps of different versions of the illistrations with big synopsis's about the artists in teh margins :D

I wonder where they got to!

Personally i like the one on the right more. But yah, depends on what feel you're going for, both would be perfect!

Both of those are awesome! I don't think one or the other is "better" for a children's book--it depends pretty heavily on the kind of book it is.

I think the one on the left would be better for a children's book as it looks more cartooney while the one on the right looks more realistic.
